
Lifeway embraces future of work with upcoming move to new ‘teaming space’
Lifeway Christian Resources has entered into a contract for the sale of their Lifeway Christian Resources recently announced plans to take up residence at Maryland Farms in Brentwood by the end of 2022. In the wake of strong performance in 2021, Lifeway will relocate to a mixed-use, state-of-the-art facility with a layout that promotes creativity and collaboration.

LIFEWAY BUILDING UNDER CONTRACT, TRANSITIONS TO NEW WORK ENVIRONMENT
Lifeway Christian Resources has entered into a contract for the sale of their building in downtown Nashville. Contract terms, including the sale price, have not been disclosed.
Lifeway President and CEO Ben Mandrell said he is excited about Lifeway’s future workplace and the prospects of settling into a new work environment.

LIFEWAY TRUSTEES APPROVE REVISIONS TO MISSION AND MINISTRY STATEMENT
“The majority of Lifeway’s ministry assignments were assigned to us in 1995,” Mandrell said in a separate interview. “Since then, the digital revolution, changing church practices, and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic have all contributed to significant shifts in Lifeway’s business model and how we minister to our church customers. The internet has touched almost every facet of our daily lives – from how we consume media, how we connect socially, how we shop, how we work, even how we connect with our local church.

LIFEWAY REACHES AGREEMENT TO SELL RIDGECREST
LifeWay Christian Resources has reached an agreement to sell Ridgecrest Conference Center and Summer Camps to the Ridgecrest Foundation. The two groups plan to complete the transfer of the North Carolina property and ministries by the end of 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led LifeWay to make a number of difficult decisions that we did not anticipate. President Ben Mandrell explains some of the decisions and shares his heart behind the changes LifeWay has had to make in this video.

LIFEWAY ROLLS OUT NEW STRATEGIES TO BETTER SERVE CUSTOMERS
While much has changed in the world over the past 128 years, LifeWay’s mission of resourcing the church has stayed constant. What has changed over the years for the not-for-profit organization is the way it distributes and supports its resources.

As a reminder, Via Benefits will be available to assist both pre-65 and post-65 retirees with any needed medical coverage options. Open Enrollment information is being mailed by October 10th that will include details for calling Via Benefits. Enrollment timeframes for individual coverage sought through Via Benefits is November 1 – December 15, 2019 for those under 65 seeking coverage through the Marketplace Exchange. For those who are Medicare eligible and seeking to make changes to their Medicare policies, you will need to contact Via Benefits by December 7, 2019, the Medicare enrollment deadline.
Retiree dental and vision changes may be made through LifeWay, if needed. A Change Form will need to be submitted by November 1, 2019. Also, this year, we are asking all retirees to return an updated life insurance beneficiary form for our records which will be included in your mailing.
As past open enrollment communications have shared, retiree benefits are subject to change. Changes made for the 2020 year were difficult decisions to make. Please know we are here to support you through this transition. Should you have any questions, please contact humanresources@lifeway.com.
